BTP was started in the millennium year of 2000, the founder, Simon Neville was working for a major blue chip company, where he had found himself working for the last 10 years after a background in a formal agriculture education that included pest control. Always drawn to the outdoor life and a countryman at heart, he wanted to get back to what he enjoyed - flying his hawks.
After a chance meeting one weekend at a country fair (where he was displaying his birds).The owner of a warehouse, that was suffering with Pigeon problems and wanted a humane solution. Simon and his team of Harris Hawks were duly dispatched to Slough to sort the problem flying the hawks around the building to scare off the pigeons - it worked! The building next door had a similar issue so we solved that also.
It then became apparent their may be a business in this? Over the next few months Simon read up on the subject, spoke to friends who were pest controllers and visited seminars and trade shows to educate himself.
