Our mission is to ensure all customers receive professional, friendly and efficient pest control services. In the case of moths or pigeon work, we will need to visit your home to assess the level of work required, before we are able to provide a final quotation. Our approach is to use prevention and early detection methodologies, to stop most pest control problems from developing, or if present, from getting out of control.

We are aware of the distress caused by most infestations, and as a result we are usually able to offer you an immediate quotation, and an initial treatment within 24 hours of you calling us. We try to visit the same day, wherever possible. Most of our pest control services do not require you to purchase any equipment or products, as our original quotation includes all labour and associated products.

There are, however, a few pests (mainly pigeons and flying insects such as moths) that may result in you needing to purchase extra products. We will always discuss in advance any additional product needs, so that you can decide which ones, if any, you would like to use.
Services
Terminex was founded in 1994 by Graham Hull and Russell Weston.
Between them they had over 20 years experience in Pest Control when the business was started.
Since 1994 the company has grown steadily every year and deals with many businesses large and small and domestic premises throughout London and the Home Counties.
Based originally in Welwyn we opened a London Office in Finsbury Park in 1997 and in 2006 relocated our Head office from Welwyn to Stotfold nr Hitchin.
Terminex joined the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) in 1997 and been members ever since and All our technicians are trained to achieve the BPCA diploma within their first year.
Clothes moths may sound harmless enough, but they can cause serious damage to your clothing and household furnishings.
With their preference for dark and undisturbed places, they can often be extremely difficult to identify.
If you think that you may have a clothes moth infestation, it is important to act upon it and eliminate the problem as quickly as possible.
Have you recently gone into your wardrobe to put on your best suit and noticed that it is looking tattered and full of holes?
Or maybe it's your finest cashmere sweater that's suffered.
German wasps are a major problem in the summer months when they are looking for material to build their nest, and well as for food to feed the nest.
It is important to destroy the nest as early as possible to prevent it getting too big, so that a major wasp problem does not develop.
Our technicians are able to quickly kill the nest, and where necessary, they can use long extension poles to treat the nest without the need of ladders.
In a small number of cases, a ladder or other access equipment may be required to get close to inaccessible nests; but we will discuss possible access problems with you at the time of your order.
Pigeons can be a real nuisance, Their fouling carries diseases such as Ornithosis (a viral disease similar to "flu") and Salmonella bacteria.
Birds nests can be the initial source of many of the insect problems.
There are a wide variety of different control methods available for pigeons, but in order to assess the scale of your problem and the possible methods available to treat your problem, we carry out a FREE survey.
Usually prevention, via the use of netting and/or fine metal spikes, or sprung wires, is often the most reliable means of deterring pigeons from your buildings.
For most localised infestations, German cockroaches can be successfully treated with a course of 3 treatments using a species specific gel, approximately 2 weeks apart.
For larger and more established infestations, a more extended course of treatments may be required over several months.
Whilst complete eradication is extremely difficult, it is possible to greatly reduce the numbers of Oriental cockroach, but in order to do so, regular treatment, using an insecticide, (usually 4 times a year as a minimum) is the most effective way of keeping their numbers down.
