PESTUK have been providing fast, reliable pest control services in domestic and commercial situations for 36 years. We are a member of the BPCA (British Pest Control Association) and have been assessed to ensure we meet their strict membership criteria. This provides assurance that we are an insured, trusted company with a team of professionally trained and qualified technicians who follow the BPCA Codes of Best Practice.

We were able to send an e-mail photo of the insects and Scott Hyslop of Pestuk e-mailed us back very quickly telling us that they were grain weevils and knowing this we realised where they were nesting and therefore we were able to clear the infestation ourselves. I've been pestered by garden ants in my home (bathroom and toilet) for as many years as I can remember and knew that there must be a nest somewhere (by the sheer number of ants through ant season).

I would just like to say what a thorough and professional job your employee, Richard Pellen carried out at my property.
Services
Worker ants will frequently enter dwellings foraging for food, particularly sweet substances.
While not a risk to human health, they can be present in sufficient numbers to cause a nuisance.
The ants will almost certainly be coming from several nests so locating one nest and destroying that will have a limited effect.
Prior to treatment, the affected areas should be cleaned, any cupboards emptied and toys, pets, etc. removed from the area.
Insecticides work more effectively on clean dust-free surfaces.
Bed bugs are one of the hardest pests to get rid of.
And infestations have been increasing since 2003 due to business travel, foreign holidays and immigration.
They bite at night.
They're almost weightless so it's impossible to feel them crawling on your skin when you're asleep.
Their bites are small so easy to miss, but they are often in a row or cluster as a bug bites multiple times.
Their eggs are pearl-white and the size of a grain of salt.
They are laid in batches of 10 to 50 and are covered with a sticky substance which adheres to almost any surface.
If you have a bee nest you will probably see bees entering a hole in the ground or in a wall or roof.
Where they nest often depends on species.
It may not be necessary to destroy the nest.
It may be possible in some cases to remove the nest, but this is rare.
The operator will be able to tell you what sort of bees they are, usually either Bumble Bees, Honey Bees or a wild species such as masonry or mining bees, there are many subspecies of wild bees within these groups.
Honey Bees: A honey bee nest will have thousands of bees and they will swarm around the entrance of the nest, this is commonly in chimneys but they will use any cavity.
Adult cluster flies emerge from hibernation in mid-spring and lay their eggs in the soil.
When they hatch the maggot seeks an earthworm host and penetrates into its body and continues to develop until they become full-grown after two to three weeks.
They subsequently emerge and reproduce.
Up to four generations may be produced over the summer.
Cluster flies and their descendants return to the previous hibernation site year after year.
Cluster flies become a nuisance when they enter a building during the autumn to hibernate or when they start to emerge in spring or occasionally on warm winter days.
If you have a cockroach problem you will see dead and alive cockroaches.
Usually in kitchens or rooms with boilers and/or electrical devices such as fridges or cookers.
Cockroaches are mainly nocturnal so they are more likely to be seen at night.
They require high temperatures, although will survive and tolerate low temperatures (but will not thrive).
Due to this they are most commonly found in kitchens, laundry rooms, boiler rooms and anywhere where high temperatures occur.
In a kitchen, the favourite places for them to live will be inside fridges (fridge motors constantly give off heat), cookers, boilers and washing machines.
